What to Expect

ENGAGE is our Pilates class with a YRD1 twist. Follow the coach and move your body through the different exercises to the beat of contemporary music. Incorporating breath control, we’ll help you develop that all-important mind-to-body connection and really understand how to activate your core muscles. There’s a great saying that Pilates “tightens what’s loose and loosens what’s tight.” It’s a fantastic full-body workout that helps to build strong, lean muscles and improve stability, flexibility and mobility. We constantly add variety to our YRD1 Pilates classes, so you’ll experience something new each time and be challenged in different ways. The class is open to everyone, and your coach can provide alternative movements to make the exercises easier or more difficult, as desired. We have a number of yoga mats in the studio that you can use, but if you have your own please do bring it with you. "Every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things" - Joseph Pilates
